Welcome

The Wareham Garden Club welcomes your application for membership.  We promote the mutual interest in and enjoyment of gardens and wildlife, exchange ideas and methods, seeds, plants and other garden material among our members; we work to beautify our town, educate and legislate for the protection of all natural resources, and strive to improve our natural environment.

Annual dues for active members are thirty dollars ($30), payable at the time of acceptance. Dues are renewed annually and must be paid in full by the annual meeting in June.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 9 am, unless otherwise notified. Meetings are not held in January, February, July or August. Meetings are held at St. Patrick’s Hall located at: 82 High Street in Wareham, MA, 02571. Free parking is available.

Membership requires the following annual commitments from active members:

● serving on one refreshment committee
● working on fairs, plant sales, and major fundraising activities
● purchasing or selling at least two (2) tickets; when ticket sales are part of an event
● participating in either civic beautification projects or garden therapy
● attending monthly meetings

2025 – 2026 Programs

March 12th: “Pollinator Pathways” – Carol Alper of Cape Cod Pollinator Pathways will discuss the what, why and how to create welcoming pathways for pollinators of all types in our town and in our personal landscapes.

April 9th: “Flower Show” – Our esteemed past President Judy Morgan will organize and present member made flower arrangements to be judged on site.

May 14th: “All About Mushrooms” – Presented by Kaylee McGuire’s Mushrooms in Hingham.

Previous Programs

September 12th: Horticulture show judged by accredited judges from our Garden Club members. Bring something from your garden and learn more about how to choose and display specimens to impress the judges.

October 9th: “Pruning 101” – A discussion and demonstration by Jeanie Neal

November 13th: “Bee Keeping” – A presentation by Elizabeth Arone of Pumpkintown Farm and
 “Wareham Land Trust: Twenty-Five Years and Stronger than Ever” – A presentation by Sue McCombe, clerk and Board of Director of the Wareham Land Trust.
