MARY SAVIGNANO HORTICULTURE AWARD

The Mary Savignano Horticulture Award was established in 2009.  This award is for an exhibit of outstanding horticultural quality in a judged horticulture exhibition. The exhibition shall be judged using the NGC Standard System of Awarding. The award shall be in the form of a blue rosette ribbon.  The Exhibition Committee shall determine the recipient and place this prestigious award on the exhibit.

Floribunda Award

This award was initiated in 2006 by Meredith Chase, then Director of the Southeastern District of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts.  The purpose of the award is to recognize a member of each club in the S.E. District for the special work that he/she does.  As Meredith has said, “Everyone contributes in one way or another, but there are some who deserve a special thanks.”

The Ruth L. Kelenosy Flower Show Award

This award shall be presented to the one exhibitor in a Wareham Garden Club Standard Flower Show(s), who receives the most points in the Horticulture Division, the Design Division and Special Exhibits Division combined. Only one award will be presented in any given year. If the Wareham Garden Club has more than one Standard Flower Show in the year, the points earned from each show shall be added together to determine the grand total of points for the winner.

The Ruth L. Kelenosy Award will be announced and the award presented each year at the Wareham Garden Club Annual Meeting/Luncheon. The award recipient shall receive a Silver Bowl inscribed with the recipient’s name and the year presented.
