- Civic beautification volunteers enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded members who strive to beautify the community using their love of gardening. Seven sites are routinely maintained throughout town by site “teams” that weed, water, and pick up trash at the sites.
- Weeding Wednesday was started during the Covid epidemic to allow members to safely gather, garden and socialize at a distance. We have had such a positive response from the club members and the public, that we continue this activity each Wednesday. Each week, from April till October, members are notified of a specific location that needs attention.
The Wareham Garden Club has been so supportive to Tobey Hospital for many years. Last year we were so fortunate to have our hospital filled with Christmas cheer for our patients and staff: Our lobbies filled with Poinsettias, our doors bedecked with Christmas wreaths and a beautiful holiday ornament donated by the club for our patients to enjoy. The Garden Club goes above and beyond with the beatification of our Healing Gardens, allowing our patients to enjoy the fresh air and added a perfect wind art piece donated by particular club members.
